As the natural hair movement sweeps the nation, there is a growing need for resources and outlets that educate you on how to maintain healthy, stylish, Naturally Happy Hair. In 2011 Naturally Happy Hair was created as a resource that provides education, inspiration, guidance and support for naturals through targeted events, blogging, social media forums, and unique marketing initiatives online. We connect thousands of naturals across the globe with relevant information, stimulating discussions, product knowledge, and tips and tools that they can use to aid in their natural hair journey. The platform that we have created has allowed us to make an impact on more than just people’s hair, but also in their lives. Magazine Co-Founders Crystal Knight and Chimere Norris
Crystal Knight created and founded Naturally Happy Hair in 2011. In 2012 she co-founded Naturally Happy Hair Magazine with Chimere Norris, Editor-in-Chief. Prior to going natural, she was "lyed to" at the tender age of 5 years old. It was in 2009 that she discovered chemicals in relaxers were the culprit for her dry, damaged and brittle hair.

She soon began researching natural hair options. After gathering all the information, including the advantages and drawbacks of being natural, she made the decision to do the "big chop" in September 2009.
Crystal has met many extraordinary naturals along her journey and discovered that the natural community, as a whole, is very inviting and supportive. Through Naturally Happy Hair Magazine, Crystal hopes to give back to the natural community all that it has given her and more.

She is a graduate of the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston, is a native Texan and currently resides in Houston.

Chimere Norris is the co-founder and Editor in Chief of Naturally Happy Hair Magazine. Chimere is an avid hair style changer and has done several big chops throughout her journey.

As more products for naturals began to enter the market her interest grew steadily, especially for the community that also came along with it. When she relocated to Houston in 2012, the day after she moved, she attended her first Naturally Happy Hair event and was quickly embraced by several naturalistas in the city, including NHH founder Crystal Knight.

Chimere continues to be instrumental in growing Naturally Happy Magazine with relevant content, interviews and resources for the natural hair community.
Chimere studied graphic design and publishing at American Intercontinental University in Atlanta. She is a Newark, New Jersey native and currently resides in Houston, TX.
